I was reading your article about brewing water and you wrote how boiling expels oxygen and this leads to dull brews. I'm experimenting with my own water mixes and I'm using distilled water, which is of course boiled in the distilling process. So it would follow that distilled water would be bad for making brewing water, or maybe the oxygen dissolves back in somehow?
Thanks for the tips, I've had the C2 for some time now and today I received my 1Zpresso JX-PRO. Still curious how it would compare to the Kinu M47 models.
Do you have a review or a walkthru on the Kompresso? What grind setting would you say is needed on the Comandante? Great list of gifts BTW. I would suggest also maybe the brewler or stir stick from Kruve.
just wondering, how do you manage to get the coffee subscription that is sent from abroad without having the trouble with duty import. From what I understand, you are in Thailand, right? The coffee import tax is quite high, and it needs to go under the FDA checking process.
Thanks for the list. I purchased the Gabi instead of the melodrip when I watched your comparison video. The Gabi works great if you remember to zero the scale. 😷. I wish I considered the melodrip instead but then I would have to hold it for the entire pour. I am hoping you will submit a video for James Hoffmann’s February guest video series.
Thanks for the video Asser. Commenting on the grinders you suggest, I have both the Timemore C2 (bought it for my son) and the 1Zpresso JX and they are both worth buying. Merry Xmas
Great recommendations Asser! I will check out the Aesir filters, but I am even more surprised abo the coffee subscription. I'm used to no international roasters shipping to Mexico. Excited to find out.
Some pretty cool ideas. I am quite interested in the Cafflano Kompresso myself, i was actually looking at dealing with them and i was wondering how the Cafflano Kompresso compares to some of the other hand held espresso "machines".
I have been a dealer for Wacaco for a couple of years , but i am looking for an alternative product, because Wacaco are such a seriously bad company to deal with.
I noticed that James Hoffman made a Fellow Prismo Vs Cafflano Kompresso video and both of these products look really interesting, even though both products are labeled as "Espresso like" products.
Cool
Can you use the TDs pen to measure extraction

I’m wanting to upgrade my burr grinder. Primary aeropress use but I do plan on V60. I do make my own cold brew. What options would you suggest

Hi friend! is it used to measure the tds of the drink or just to measure the water?
Well, I was gonna give my coffee loving friend a a DE1PRO and Kafatek Monolith Flat Max, but I guess I'll just get him a melodrip instead…
